SUMMARY

To provide Customer Service support to the OAS and Colorado Welcome Center for all visiting customers and tenants. Maintain a high level of communication between customers, tenants and with all management and employees of the Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Open Colorado Welcome Center and office daily by 9 am
Answer all inbound calls on a daily basis and transfer to other management employees.
Assist all customers and tenants with general information, store locations, directions, business hours, transportation information, special event information, directions to Center.
Assist with all questions regarding Colorado Tourism.
Handing out VIP cards and coupons.
Check emails and answer in timely manner.
Order and stock brochures and marketing materials as needed.
Assist the Marketing department with traffic reports, special events, group sales, sponsorships.
Maintain stroller/wheelchair rentals.
Maintain the log and inventory of all lost and found items.
Responsible notifying when tenants will be here after-hours.
Responsible for the gift card program.
Process customer complaint forms.
Assist all departments with support as needed.
Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.

NOTE: This position may also provide shuttle service.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.)
0 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
Entry level experience using MS Office applications (for data entry, reports).
Ability to conduct research using the various search engines on the Internet.
Entry level experience using Social Media Networking applications.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Valid State Drivers License (clean driving record)

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to effectively respond to issues both verbally and in writing.
Requires a high level of commitment to customer service.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Ability to handle cash and give back proper change.
Basic bookkeeping skills.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to identify problems with limited information, and then recommend a resolution.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Ability to learn new tasks quickly.

General Knowledge of Colorado

PHYSICAL and/or MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time; walk and stand; use hands and fingers to operate keyboards, printers, fax machines or other office equipment; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio; vision to read printed material and a computer screen; lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.

Must be able to work emergency overtime. Must be available to work weekends, as needed to cover for special events, vacations, time off and additional holiday hours.

The work environment is primarily indoors with exposure to outdoors, however, while performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
