Responsible for providing customer service and technical support for end users. Will analyze technology needs and troubleshoot various technical issues. Responsible for partnering with multiple departments in order to evaluate and understand complex business problems, their technical implications, propose and develop solutions. Understand, program and administer on line database structures. Install and configure operating systems, office products, (IE. word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software). Analyze and solve computer problems and enable computer technology to meet the needs of the organizations. Perform system studies to assist organization to realize maximum benefit from investments in equipment, personnel, and business processes. Plan and design new computer systems or devices. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing hardware and software systems. Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Conduct studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs. Upgrade systems and correct errors to maintain systems after implementation. Prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects. At least once a month, being on call for phone and/or onsite support for emergencies. Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or specialized computer training. 3-4 years minimum experience in the field or in a related area. Hospitality software experience beneficial.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
◾Assist with providing Systems Administration, including maintaining user/group accounts, user configuration, trouble-shooting access problems and completion of on-site documentation.
◾Assist in Server infrastructure management, performance monitoring, Operating System upgrades and troubleshooting.
◾Assist in the process of systems backup and recovery procedures.
◾Analyze and solve computer problems and enable computer technology to meet the needs of the organizations.
◾Understand, program and administer organization’s database structures.
◾Perform system studies to assist organization to realize maximum benefit from investments in equipment, personnel, and business processes.
◾Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing hardware and software systems.
◾Develop custom reports or modify existing reports to meet various organization needs.
◾Maintain and update organization’s websites.
◾Prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects.
◾At least once a month, being on call for phone and/or onsite support for emergencies.
◾Oversees IS Department in absence of IS Manager and IS Assistant Manager
◾Ability to communicate on all levels with management members, employees, or vendors.
◾Ability to read, analyze and interpret common journals, business reports, and financial reports.
◾Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from management members or customers/employees.
◾Ability to effectively extract and present data to top management and/or board of directors.
◾Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers in order to interpret financial information and prepare budgets.
◾Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
◾Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
◾Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical documentation in English.
◾Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from management members, customers/employees.
◾Other duties as assigned.
◾Bachelors Degree in a related area or specialized computer training.
◦3-4 years minimum experience in the field or in a related area
◦Windows operating systems, (IE, Windows XP/ Vista/ 7)
◦Server operating systems, (IE, Linux, Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012)
◦Data Analysis, Report Writing , T-SQL programming
◦Web site architectures
◦Hospitality software experience beneficial
◦Ability to use and learn different hardware and software configurations.
